I have now eaten at most of the Winter Haven BBQ joints and this one was probably the least desirable. Not much flavor at all on the pulled pork, smoke taste, nothing. The sides were bland too.
I tried Big Daddy's Barbeque for the first time last night. It was the most delicious and perfectly done "Q" I've ever had. Everything from the ribs, to the chicken, down to those spilling over the sides, jumbo sized pulled pork sandwiches, was simply amazing and the sauces were out of this world good! Whatever you do, don't miss their dessert. The banana pudding made this Southern girl very happy and the sweet potato pie would make the finest pastry chef in the world proud with its perfect texture and its out of this world flavor. Anytime I want barbeque, I will definitely make the drive over to Big Daddy's--it's so worth it

Woody's has some good eats, huge selection of great things. Chicken and ribs are tasty and hot. The burgers are excellent. Servers are excellent. Good place for ribs.

Sonny's BBQ of Winter Haven. Southern BBQ at its finest. Slow-smoking favorites like pulled pork, ribs, brisket since 1968.
We have been here many times over the years, this place has gone downhill in my opinion. The prices have gone up and the quality of food and customer service has gone down. I'm not sure if they are overly busy and short staffed but every waiter/waitress seems to hate their job. The food is good on most occasions. The salad bar (when stocked) is the best part. I could eat salad from there 3 times a day. When they keep it fresh and stocked, it makes for a great dining experience.

It was our first time eating there. Our friends had been there about 10 years ago. The food was good and the service was very quick. Nothing fancy but good food. The coleslaw was outstanding.

Went there for take out because I loved the rack of ribs I ate in that place three years ago. I was expecting the same experience today, 01/31/2019 shortly after 5:00 pm. When I got home, ten minutes away, I found that the ribs were undercooked, raw inside (not "rare") and their edges were even seeping blood. The fries looked and tasted as if they had been leftovers, hard and with a deep-orange color, as if they had been refried. The corn bread, the cole slaw and the sauce were okay, I suggest that, if you go there, don't get the take out and immediately leave. When you get the order open the black container to check if the ribs and the fries were cooked right. Better yet, eat in and complain to the server if the food was not properly cooked. Our sincere apologies and thank you for the honest feedback. That is not how I like to send my food out at all. We would like you to give us another chance. When you come back, please ask for Jim or Dottie, and we will make it right for you.
