We typically go to the bowling alley a couple times per month throughout the year. During the Youth bowling league we will also order some typical bar food .. . fries, cheese curds, BLT or burger. Very reasonable prices, food tastes good and service is fine. Waun-a-bowl also participates in Kids Bowl Free during the summer months which is a great inexpensive activity for rainy or really hot summer days.

After dinner cocktail was good. However, we left smelling like deep fried food as their hood fan is apparently broken/not venting properly. Gross. Service was prompt and friendly.

Stopped in here for a couple glasses of wine. The decor is very quaint and comfortable, almost home like, The staff is very knowledgeable as we tried several wines before we purchased, They do offer cheese or chocolate plates as appetizers to enjoy with your wine. It is an excellent place to go to have a quiet glass or two of wine with spouse or friends. This is an excellent addition to Waunakee.

Had not realized that Mr. Brews Taphouse had multiple locations in the Madison area.Good job of matching the location in downtown Madison.Really good appetizers especially the homemade chips and fried cheese curds. extensive selection of craft beers and burgers to choose from. Good idea to pick different burgers and have them cut up into quarters to experience the differences.Beer temperature was perfect....COLD!

While looking for sources to buy Unknown Art beers, we came across Octopi on their opening day and learned this is more a distributor, co-op type brewery than having an emphasis specifically on its own brews. The bartender was friendly but lacking in some information about the various beers and did not trouble himself to find the answer to a particular question we posed (i.e., where could we purchase the seasonal Unknown Art stout beer to take away not available there). As the room filled mid-afternoon, it seemed to have only 1 bartender was inadequate for the demand. The atmosphere is industrial and stark but also family friendly with some food available. In an area amid fields, it seems a bit distant for Madison's student crowd to frequent often but, in reality, it's just a short drive outside the city in Wisconsin's beautiful countryside. Additional food was available outside at a food truck near an outdoor seating area. Free, on-site parking.

This was our first stop on a tour of the Waunakee area. We came for lunch and were able to snag a table on the delightful rooftop patio which has a fire pit for cool evenings too. Our waiter was really excellent and gave great advice on the food. My husband tried the Coconut IPA. It was delicious (and I don't usually like IPA's). For lunch, my husband had the fish sandwich special with gumbo. I had the fish tacos at the high suggestion of my server, even though I am not a big fish person. Both were served fresh and presented well, and both were delicious. While we prefer breweries that focus on brewing rather than food, Lone Girl has done a nice job of both.
