I feel bad writing a review that is on the negative side, especially when you see hard working people doing what they do. But here is our experience at Lone Star.When you bite into a piece of brisket, the entire slice shouldn't come along for the ride. This brisket was just down right tough, even after giving up on the bun and cutting it with a knife. The second thing that impacted the experience was the friend or family that parked the truck adjacent to our table...and left it running. It wasn't really that hot, the windows on the truck were open, and the exhaust fumes were present. True he picked up a to go order, but when he walked over to the liquor store my mind was made up.Beyond, I would say you have a beautiful family, and a genuine love of "all things Texas".

I recently stayed for a second time here and again loved every minute of it. The place is very lively, comfortable, affordable and the staff is exceptional. Being in close walking range to the beach and surfing made the experience that much more memorable. I will definitely be back soon! :)

We randomly picked Marino Ballena Restaurant because we were hungry and tired after several hours on the beach and in the ocean and it was near. We had no expectations. We were greeted by the very lovely and gracious Jessica who instantly made us feel as though she had been eagerly waiting for us to arrive. Not only were there 7 of us and a very vocal baby but we arrived when they were just about finished serving lunch. No matter. Jessica happily took all our orders, quirks and all, and remembered where each exception to the menu was to be delivered. The food was delicious and Jessica never lost her charm.

Great local food, tasty and authentic. I liked the chicken soup a lot and havenât seen it elsewhere. The chocolate tart does deliver on the promise. Friendly service. Recommend the margaritas. Broad choice.Very nice setting. Located on a bumpy road inside the village.Worth driving to this place.
