Visited this Applebee's tonight with hopes of getting my "regular" Applebee's meal. It's very extravagant and takes forever to prepare! Wait for it!!!!!! A grilled, chicken sandwich with bacon & cheese. It's no longer on the menu and hasn't been in years. Even so, I've never had trouble getting the waitress to put an order in for one. Really, how hard could it be?? They already have bread, chicken, bacon and cheese. So, with this visit, my waitress (Meghan S) said "No. If it's not on the menu, they won't make it." So, we ordered different items. Both entrees were okay....but nothing special. After speaking with the manager (who was sent there to "clean up" this store) it turns out the sandwiches could have been made very easy, without any trouble. Because of our conversation, I probably would stop back in if I was in the area. I believe Applebee's is trying to improve their brand. If so, they still a lot of work to do.

With spicy spinach dip & Craft beer - we will be back. Great staff, cozy design. Plenary of bar space. And a community table thatâs great for medium groups.

The restaurant has a good atmosphere. Sauce has good flavor. The service was good and very polite. The only problem I have is I like more chicken that breading(way to much breading).

As full time travelers we get around, moving every 3-6 months volunteering for the National Park System. If fried pickles are in the menu, I will order them. FATZ HAS THE BEST FRIED PICKLES I HAVE EVER HAD! Now that I have that out of the way I will go on to the rest of the meal: FATZ fried chicken....delicious! Baked potato swimming in butter and sour cream!:-). The fried shrimp and chicken strips as well as the Cole slaw rates a perfect 5...but the ribs only get a 4 because they were a little overdone on the outside. The waitress Susan is very experienced! The members of the team worked together to keep us happy. ! We will be back!

If you are looking for a stop between the blue ridge mountains and the Atlantic but really in the heart of Shelby, NC this is your place!!! They are coming out with new brews all the time. The owner and staff take their craftsmanship to another level and you can tell that all the way down to the way the bar and building itself is laid out!!! Sour beers are great but they are more willing to help you find the beer that is to your satisfaction! So come on to Shelby, NC and grab a beer at Newgrass Brewing Co!!! See you there!!

This place is located in a small town in NC with big town quality and taste! The pizza and beer weekly special on Tuesdays are a must! Several local brews on tap and the most amazing wood fired pizza! Outstanding quality and always worth the wait!
