Temporary power outage didn’t help. Plenty of parking. Looks like a local crowd. Sloppy joe was disappointing- tasted like a jar of uncooked onion pieces were dumped in at the last minute, onion taste remained long after we left.

If my wife hadn't been told about this place we would have never even noticed it when driving by. Looks so small and unassuming, but simply awesome food and cold beer. We stopped for lunch on our way to Key West. My wife and I had the conch salad. Absolutely the best we've ever had here in the states and compared favorably with the best we've ever had in the Bahamas. I ordered a Kalik beer and I felt as if I was back in the Bahamas. We finished it up with a key lime pie of course and nothing better compared to that pie for the rest of our stay. I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying the food and atmosphere.

We stayed just a short walk away from this pub and grill and it was the most amazing thing to stumble upon! The inside is completely covered in dollar bills! Most of which are written on by previous guests! It was really packed when we visited but the service, food and drinks were well worth it!

We visited My New Joint around 7PM on a Saturday. We sat at the bar and shared carrot/parsnip fries (interesting), roasted cauliflower (bland), and empanadas (OK). We had trouble getting attention from the bartender. He was busy and much more interested in the young women next to us, than a middle-aged couple. The live entertainment was nice but the volume overpowered the space. I have loved every visit to the square grouper, prior to this one. Three apps and three beers came to $57, before tip.

My friend asked if I wanted to order from here, having a not so great experience last time I had ordered I said NO, He stated it was under new owners now so I agreed to order with all of us getting burgers 4 of us. I went to pick them up and got home to see wha I got, I order mine rare with the bun on the side so the blood doesnt seep into the bun and make it soggy, Thais how it came and its so hard to get it the way you want it cause your paying for it to be that way. Let me say that I was very happy to get it the way I want it and even happier to taste it, VERY GOOD Service and Tasted even better Thanks for getting it right and having such a scrumptious burger! OK, now I feel bad. Just left a review for the dive resort that included the review of this place. I'll see if I can edit that review to remove this information. I could be wrong...maybe they're not linked businesses, so I'll post this here too. We stayed two nights at the hotel and did an all day charter for two dives. The first night we realized our water bottles couldn't fit in the bathroom sink to fill. Went to the bar to ask if they could fill it for us (there were two customers and 4 people working). We were told if you wanted water you can buy it at the gas station next door or the vending machine. I don't know...maybe they're used to people being pricks about tap water? But that's what we'd be getting from the bar too. It was just an issue of getting our bottles in the bathroom sink to fill; wasn't possible. Seemed odd to be staying at a hotel where you couldn't fill a water bottle, but oh well. Wouldn't have worried about it if it weren't for what happened the next night. The next night we decided to take part in taco Tuesday. We found a place to sit (there were no clean tables, but this one at least didn't have food stuck to it, just trash). The two women with me already had drinks they had gotten at the bar a short time earlier so we were set on regular drinks for the moment. After about 10 minutes the waitress came over and we all ordered waters. She rolled her eyes at us and rapidly walked off. She came back with the waters about 10 minutes later, basically slammed them on the table and walked off...we still didn't have menus and she didn't give us a chance to ask her. I looked at my fellow divers and said "that's weird, do we track down menus ourselves?" They responded "that's the same waitress that wouldn't get us drinks earlier, she (pointed at another waitress) finally served us". OK, so, this waitress is having a bad night, we'll suck it up and see if we can take part in Taco Tuesday still. We'd been here 20 minutes and just got our waters we were expecting to have with our dinner, but still had no menus. 20 minutes later she came back by and I asked "hey do you have some menus for us to see?". She was like "I thought you only wanted water". I just sort of double-blinked and said, well we were looking to eat as well. What I was thinking was "well you didn't bother to ask us did you, nor did you allow us any time to ask you" Seems like something that's the basic way to be a member of a wait staff right? You need to provide a menu? So ANOTHER 20 MINS pass...we started talking among ourselves and decided she wasn't going to wait on us. Why? I have no idea, but this woman had some sort of issue with us from the moment we sat down (or apparently from the moment the two women with me tried to order drinks earlier). I'm guessing she pegged us for no tip since we started with water (but the two people with me literally had drinks in front of them). She walks by us another 3-4 times we try to flag her down...she ignores us. Finally, she looks at us, throws her hands up, snatches a menu (a single menu...there were three of us) off a table where people had just paid flinging water all over us (there was water all over it). Then proceeds to wipe it on her pants and assure us it's just water and walks off. 15 minutes later we looked up where-else was close to get food on our phones and left. We were there over an hour...and we were staying at the hotel. All we could get was water, which I guess is an improvement on the previous night? Maybe one more night and we could have gotten food too? Not that it should matter, but you'd expect to at least be allowed to order food after spending over $1300 in two days at the other parts of this establishment. Apparently, we weren't worthy of the waitresses attention. She looked in her 40s, had reddish hair pulled back in a braid. The nastiest waitress experiences I've ever had. We eventually came back from eating and looking at some key deer and eating on Big Pine Key. The waitress was outside the bar eating from a plate while standing right were we had to walk by for our rooms. We got death-glared as we went back to our rooms. I'd likely dive with this company again, but I've never been made to feel less welcomed at any place I've ever stayed or eaten (or rather..not eaten) by an employee in my life. Not sure I'd stay at the hotel again as after-hours your only option is the restaurant and they don't want you there (if you're not local?...no idea) and would definitely never try to eat/drink at the bar again.
