We returned to Il Bello in May for the pranzo del lavoro, excellent food,well presented, friendly owner serving. A popular venue for lunch, a sophisticated menu , two courses,wine ,water and coffees, ten euros a head. The gnocchi frutti di mare was wonderful, followed by trippa, beautiful flavours.. Great Tuscan cooking.

Before a concert had antipasti and a few glasses of wine. Nice plac...very quality tasting cuts of meat and cheese. On the piazza at San Michele.

I've been here a few times with my boyfriend - we have always appreciated the way they cook American food. We often go to Buongustaio because we know how accurate they are in preparing their big dishes with big burgers with selected meat, roasted corn, fried onions and so on. Unfortunately, the last time we went there the food was not as expected and for two burger dishes, one small beer and a Coke, 42 ⬠was way too much. I don't know what happened, but that disappointed us pretty much. A part from that, the staff is very polite and careful. We like it here. What went wrong was basically the unexpected high price. Hi Cecilia, how you descrive your last visit looks like you eat two simple beefburgers...but if I compare the price probably you ate something special.Try to be more precise because when you make a rewiev to a business you may damage or promotote it.In this case I will said you wrong, quality meat and extra topping are always been charged more like any other restaurant.Thanks, anyway.

Went here because of good reviews. Itâs a quirky friendly different style of place. Served terrible wine and mediocre beer while giving the impression of being knowledgeable. Only bad experience in Lucca. Even back street tiny cafes served delicious chilled wine. Too many other good places to visit. Not going back. Dear customer,We would like to apologize for your bad experience, however I clearly remember you and your attitude since the time you came in on Saturday.You just classified as a bad wine, one of the most remarkable Rose in Lucca:- Fattoria al Dotto, Carignano, Lucca 2017You can't also classify an American IPA as "mediocre beer" while you even didn't read who's the producer:- Founder's Session Ale. .....a Lucca come ogni inizio mese.....Un collega ci propone di accompagnarlo a pranzo e coì è stato.....Iniziamo con un piatto di alici fritte, poi, visto che amiamo le cozzaglie, tortelloni lucchesi e poi trippa.....Quest'ultima molto buona, ma alla sera in autostrada dovevamo ancora digerirla....Nel complesso, niente male, ma non è scattata la scintilla....
