Heard about the ribs from a friend, so we had to try it.The ribs was moist and tender.It needed alittle more seasoning and smoke flavor. But was a great value for the price.Had coleslaw and it was homemade and awesome.Had French fries with it also.It was just French fries.It is more of a bar than a restaurant It has a pool table and a couple dart boards.My suggestion would be to remove them and have more table seating than they have.The food really was good.The sides are alittle over pricedI will go back.Staff was friendly.The Food Critic

We try to patronize local businesses. We hadnât eaten here since our last experience which was intended to be a celebration before starting my first round of chemotherapy. That evening was so awful we waited 8 years to go back. This evening wasnât much better. The service was okay but the food was lacking. My husband ordered the beef tips and mushrooms medium and received them beyond rare inside. Even he was a bit put off. My dinner, breasted chicken was very good, however it would have been preferable to eat it from a plate and not a pewter or aluminum skillet with my side in a tiny dish. The restaurant was not very busy being a Wednesday evening and the service was okay not actually attentive. I nearly stepped to the bar to ask for a refill as my soda had been twice refilled from a carafe and was flat. It will be awhile before we return to the Buckhorn.

It has been awhile since I was been so I stopped in twice this past week and how things have changed. One of the first thing I noticed was that the Manager's no longer go around and visit with the customers, then to top that off the food coming out of the kitchen was very slow. Even my server both times was very slow when I have to wait @ 30 minutes for my check. In the past when you got a refill it came in a fresh glass not any more they take your glass and refill it. Wings size about the same but the sauce on my wings was very dry it could have been wetter. Never thought I would be unhappy with this place I was twice this week.

We came in to celebrate my daughter's 8th birthday, because they are right beside the Englewood Fun Center. We came in to two girls at the front giggling together. I told them that we had 5 people. They looked around, and kept talking. They then told me it would be a 25 minute wait. My son, who is ten said, "but there are open tables everywhere." They ignore us and we ended up going to El Toro who treated my daughter like a queen. I will never come back. Even if there was a reason you weren't using those tables, the girls attitudes were disgusting.

They serve pretty good BBQ over here. I tried the pulled pork and the ribs, both were very tastefull and moist. We sat at the bar, not much going on, it was saturday night and only two otters guests were sitting there. Service was fine though.Its worth a stop when you are nearby.Thanks casd2013 for your Review and kind words.Jack

Come here as half way to Indy each year with Big 10 Champ Game the next Day. Great food. Great wait staff. Excellent Pizza. Great menu many choices. Will recommend to all my buddies. Great drink selection too. Go enjoy this little gem.
