If you want local hangout on the river, this is it. Itâs on a dock over the water. We sat on the second floor deck for a nice river view and some breeze. There is only Portuguese here, so we guessed at a couple appetizers. One was good and one was not. But we saw several good looking dishes passing our table. So I donât hold our selection choice against them. There is a stage on the first floor for bands. I have to believe this is a happening place on a weekend evening with live music. The wait staff was friendly and tried their best to understand our broken attempts at Portuguese. You have to walk down a narrow trashy looking alley to get there, and felt save. But I like this kind of hang out experience.

We enjoyed their combo plate as a starter so we ordered extra items that we liked the best as add ons. Namely the shrimp and the stuffed crab claws. What was lost in translation is that the regular menu item is about 2-3 times larger than the starter. So the stuffed crab claws went from golf ball size to nearly baseball size. We ordered 6 but 2 would have been enough. Anyway, they were delicious. Outdoor seating area was enjoyable even tho itâs right on a road.

The bar, itself, I did not have the opportunity to visit, unfortunately. It is not opened during weekends. However, the owner Leo open the shop specially for us to buy the amazing cachaça of Jambu, a local plant that causes an exquisite sensation in the mouth⦠A must try in Belém.

Amazon Beer brings us the unique blend of the exotic fruits and plants from the Amazon Region. How about blending tapereba (a fruit) in a witbier? This is my favourite. And if you try the beer in the Estacao das Docas, you may even taste some excellent local dishes. Fish (river, not sea), crab, shrimp (river, again) or any other delicacy. Lastly, you wil be able to see two or three stroms approach by the river. At any time of the year. Unique experience.
