I have eaten here a couple of times and the food is very good, the service is great and it is very good value. Depending on how busy it is you sometimes have to go to the bar for your drinks, which is fine as it is a pub with an Indian. I would say the thing that lets it down each time is the dogs roaming around whilst you eat. On one occasion I counted 5.Thank you for writing a review for The Delhi Hut.Unfortunately as we are part of a dog friendly pub, the dogs can sneak through to the restaurant which we do try to control. As the steamer has two pub dogs, the staff do try to prevent this from happening but any others are unfortunately down to their owners. I hope this hasn't affected your visit to us too much and we hope to see you again. Hopefully with less dogs around the table!

The only BYO Bring Your Own Alcoholic drink indian restaurant in Hertfordshire. Great traditional food, grill menu and some amazing paneer halumi dishes. We cater for vegetarian with our full menu available at this option. Gourmet night every Tuesday, Sta
You can get reasonable authentic food (they do not really authentic dishes because you don't get the same fish in the UK and customers would probably not be used to 'real' Bengali) dishes, e.g. their Shag is dry (not this creamy pureed stuff one normally gets), the Naan was thin (not the supermarket variety). Meet was very tender (but they use the red colour, people think belongs to tandori) and prawns were soft and very reasonably sized. They do BYO alcohol (they should make that more clear on their website) - but there is an excellent wine shop next door (and a tesco express in emergencies), which makes it MUCH cheaper to have a good wine in an restaurant (we paid £21 for a very good Baralo in the shop and had together £4 corkage for us - for that price, you normally get only a very mediocre wine in a restaurant!). There were many takeouts while we were there - it seems to be popular place (which fits with the good taste of their food).HiThank you for taking the time out to write such a wonderful review, it does mean a lot to our chefs who work tirelessly to make great food. We will take the feedback regarding bring your own on the website its a good shout. Many thanks again

We were recommended this restaurant by friends. When you arrive it looks like a small cafe type place on a local shopping parade. Inside it extends back like the tardis. Plenty of staff on hand to assist you. Food was excellent and prepared exactly as we ordered it without any quibbles. The staff were very attentive and we did not feel pressured at any time during our stay. As for value for money it was super with plenty of change, after two mains, two puddings and four drinks, from £60.

Despite there not being many customers, we waited well over half an hour to have our order taken. Two women dining together seemed to have a cloak of invisibility! The food was pretty bland and tasteless compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. The only positive is that it has a 5* food hygiene rating. Oh yes, and it was very noisy (probably due to the poor acoustics). Will not bother with it again.Dear Jackie,We are sorry to hear of your disappointment. We donât tend to take orders as soon as you are seated, please feel free to signal the waiters should you decide to visit again, who will promptly attend to you. It was a busy Saturday Night, which included a Birthday Celebration. We are aware it may have got noisy, which we tried to keep to a minimum but sometimes this is a little outside of our control. We can only apologies if this disturbed your meal.If you would like to discuss the visit any further then please do not hesitate to contact me.Regards Rasel

Decent flavours and good quality Indian food. Must try red biryani and salmon Shah which comes with a curry sauce. My wife enjoys salmon curry with pilau rice.
