The Maharajah is famous for its exceptional food and there is always something special going on. From the moment you walk through the door a special dining experience awaits you. We accept bookings for parties of ten or more or just for that romantic meal
My wife and I decided to give this restaurant a try having moved into the area recently. The previous reviews on TripAdvisor and the high ranking indicated we were in for a real treat, and our new local indian restaurant. The decor is lovely, but other than that it was all rather average really. Our starters were okay (mixed tandoori and a chicken tikka), but not as nice as most. Our main course were a bit of a mixed experience, my curry was very good indeed, but my wifeâs shashlick just consisted of a large chicken tikka starter, no sizzling plate or skillet, just bland with some fried onions. The service was very slow, no smiles, no asking if the meal was okay, just the bare minimum.Sadly I donât think weâll return, just not quite good enough really. Not cheap either.

Just up the road, went here with my wife and a friend. Overall good meal, friendly staff, quick service. 2 vegetarians - good choice for us, our meat eating friend also enjoyed hers

Needed a delivery so used Chutneys. They said an hour and a half but food arrived in an hour. Much better than the other way round. Whole experience much improved. Printed order attached to bag & printed order tickets stuck on cartons so everything easy to identify & check. Chicken Malai was mild but tasty and the Prawn Sag Madras equally tasty with spice heat just right. Good meal. Would recommend.

"At Sultan we pride ourselves on the friendliness of our service and the high quality of our food. Special Banquet Night every Wednesday £11.95".
Best curry house in the area. From the outside it doesnât look much (itâs up a flight of stairs above a shop) but weâve been coming here for years when we visit Cirencester and weâve never been disappointed. Good portion size, excellent flavouring, good service and good value for money. Will continue to visit when we can.

In the historic Roman town Cirencester, the Indian Rasoi is the perfect place to experience a mixture of traditional and contemporary Indian food in a relaxed, friendly and warm environment. An utterly characteristic interior with a relaxed welcoming feel
We chose Indian Rasoi, based on reviews, for our first meal on our visit to Cirencester - and were not disappointed. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Overall the meal was excellent, with the popadoms being the best ever. The flavour and âhotnessâ of the main course was just right and the taste didnât have the over sweetness to it that a lot of Indian restaurants use these days.I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
