I wish i could write a good review but i can't help when i had a first really bad service experience and average food in my life. First of all, i was really hungry then came with my bf to Richardson Bistro at 10 am. They were already open but NO STAFF stand by and welcomed us. It's mean they were not ready yet. After seating at the table, there's waitress realised we were there and she didn't welcome or say anything. And I was the one who reached out her first. When she talked, she was looked unhappy. When we were ordering,my bf ordered chamomile tea and the waitress didn't understand what he said so I repeated chamomile with exact pronounced but shockingly she said " I can't understand what you said" with rude intonation. Then I pointed to the menu and she said "ah..ka mo muil". They didn't train the staff well(racist). Even we r Asian, she shouldn't treat us like that. It's really offended. I thought only the service, but the food was same bad as the service. I ordered Angus beef burger and pork ribs fried rice. Both of them was bland. The McDonald burger would be much better for my lunch. Really disappointed and we r never gonna come back to this place. Not gonna recommend. Thank you for ruining my day.Hi Michelle324_11We are very sorry to hear of this experience that you've had with us, we pride ourselves on having a positive engagement with our guests and it saddens us to hear that we did not make you feel welcome. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, please accept our deepest apologies from the team.Regards,Beau Newman

Brought our French visitors here for coffee and tea. The peppermint tea was lovely as were the lattes, cappuccino and long black. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband enjoyed his morning ice cream.

Superb contemporary dining at Freycinet Lodge, overlooking Great Oyster Bay. The Bay is renowned for its outstanding seafood and is consistently rated as one of the east coast of Tasmania's best restaurants.
From the moment of our arrival to departure, we could not fault this wonderful restaurant. Yes, the prices are a tad steeper for an equivalent on the mainland, but I wonât quibble. The service was excellent, not overbearing. The food and wine were superb. We had 7 dishes between four of us and each was exceptional in flavour and presentation. I would highly recommend The Bay to anyone visiting the area. A special place for any special occasion. PS: Sunset time is great.

While the menu highlighted local - it was not varied enough to offer options that our kids would be interested in. dessert was good salmon on fava beans was good - but kids chose ceasar salad and seafood soup - was a miss for both

GÃOGRAPHE RESTAURANT + ESPRESSO BAR Open 7 days for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner in the heart of Coles Bay. Géographe specialises in local produce (especially seafood), wood fired pizzas, great coffee & spectacular views.
My Hobart friend recommended Geographe Restaurant for its delicious food and service. The recommendation was spot on with this restaurant. After an early morning start in Brisbane and then a flight to Hobart, we finally arrived in Coles Bay. It was too early to check in to our accommodation. Then we saw Geographe and we headed there. What a gem of a restaurant. We loved Geographe so much that we had breakfast and dinner there every night during our stay in Coles Bay. The prices are reasonably priced and the wood fire pizzas are yummy as well as the fish and chips. Well done. The breakfast was delicious. I loved the staff there especially Tulsa originally from Vancouver Canada who made us feel welcomed. She makes the best hot chocolate in Tasmania. Definitely will be back. Thanks again for your hospitality and I hope you see this review.
