We did not find the restaurant we wanted to go. Simply pick one nearest as shown by Tripadvisor Apps. Found this ramen shop and ordered two different bowls, including one spicy noodle choice. Believe me, this was really the best ramen we had amongst all our visits to Japan. Large portion, quite spicy but tolerable without burning feeling in throat. Rich broth and not salty as most ramen in Japan usually offers.

The shop was closed for 3 days upon our arrival, fortunately we still got a chance to try out their food. The servers unable to speak much English, struggling to communicate. The lady server kind enough to ask whether to hv pepper on the pork as our kids were hving it. There is taste difference without pepper. The food are oiishi. They hv outlet in SG as well. The qty for mix tempura (vege n prawn) very few and pricey. The salmon dish we had is very nice, the gravy is delicious. Walking distance from train station.

Aside from choosing an optional miso or mushroom soup, this is the entire menu at this wonderful little restaurant. We arrived at Obihiro JR at 1.10 pm on a very quiet Sunday having set off from Sapporo JR on the 10.24 am. Aside from the usual sleepy shops at the station there wasnât much to eat so we struck out into town. Everything was pretty much closed other than this gem which had a short queue outside and a lady taking customersâ orders. Always an encouraging sign. The grilled pork was absolutely delicious - bursting with flavor onto the rice underneath. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. And the aroma - wow!It was our first âButadonâ (literally - pork bowl) and I think we would struggle to find a tastier version than this. We really lucked out stumbling across such a place. If we have more time, we will swing by again before heading back to Sapporo. Very happy indeed.
