We had dinner here while waiting for the Montrose Summer Music Series. The Pad Thai was some of the worst we've ever had. We will not eat here again. Was it an off night or is this the usual fare? Not sure.

Can't understand why we can't en't even close. Ordered egg rolls and soul to take out, the decent but as I write this the egg rolls.are Shangai Palace. PLEASE OPEN SOON!! Ordered to go again, big mistake again. How does Cashew Chicken have no flavor?? But loaded with celery and green peppers. Where were the cashews?? Egg rolls dripping in grease, but flavorful, however Wontons light and crispy. How when they come fryer. Same rude lady that seems put out to give you the order. How can there be decent Asian restaurants surrounding Montrose but we are stuck with this. PLEASE, PLEASE Shangai open soon!!

Fresh, tasty, and a delightful surprise. Pad Thai with scallops and Massaman curry with chicken. Dumplings as a starter but as they cook to order, it all came out together. Great flavors. And good portions. If I lived here, Iâd come back. If youâre traveling through or doing Black Canyon, itâs a very good choice

Short of never having visited Nepal and the Himalayas, I've eaten in a lot of Indian and Nepalese restaurants. Hands down, Pun Hill had the best Nepalese curry I have ever tasted. An authentic, family run business, I appreciated how conscientious they were about my plant based diet. Unfortunately, I was just traveling through; if I lived in Montrose, I'd probably eat there every week.

We are the only comprehensive Japanese restaurant in Montrose ranging from sushi & sashimi; hibachi express (grilled back in the kitchen); tempura; teriyaki; some noodles like yakisoba, tempura udon soup and ramen noodle soup; fancy appetizers like edamam
This restaurant is located in a row of buildings just off the main downtown street in Montrose. It is apparently a low rent location, and that is reflected in the rather bare atmosphere of the interior of the place, but also in its moderate prices. There is a large selection of Japanese dishes, both traditional and innovative. I had a sushi roll that was very well prepared and reasonably priced. (As is typical of all sushi restaurants, they never give you a knife to cut the sections into smaller, bit sized pieces. Why not?)A rather curious oversight is that they have a bar serving cocktails, but their offerings are not shown on the menu. They also have a modest selection of bottled beers that are on the menu.I would go there again for the food, but would not go there for a romantic or social occasion, or rate it "excellent," because of the lack of atmosphere.
