English/ Thai menu but limited English spoken. Pleasant manner and tasty, reasonably cheap Thai (mainly) food. Five (I think) vegan options. I went there twice and would go again. Food, smoothies, coffee, cake and alcohol served. The menu came with an English warning about you get what you read on the menu; the menu seemed quite self explanatory so I'm not sure of the reasoning behind that. Anyway, if you're unsure (veggie, vegan etc) then just use Google translate to avoid any confusion (they have free wifi).Enjoy!

The best Thai restaurant i have ever been too.The service was very good, the food was excellent. The owner is extremely friendly, speaks very good English and is more than willing to talk about Thai food and places to visit in and around Lopburi. They also offer a pickup and dropoff service from your hotel which we did on our visits to Ban Madame Café & Restaurant.A big thank you to Pooh and Norbert for all your help and making our trip to Lopburi very enjoyable. It was our pleasure to have you as our guests and we are happy you enjoyed your stay with us!

Run by the friendly Budsaba, this restaurant offers traditional Thai food at local prices."Taco Tuesdays" are particularly popular and there are barbecue skewers every Friday night. Laid back and a good spot to meet local expats and find out more about th
Budsi's Place is my favourite place in Lopburi to eat and hang out. The food is great and the people who run the place are fantastic. The food is really good value, market prices for a lot of meals and they've some extra special meals at half the price of anywhere else like their Chicken Cashew Nut. The Massaman is great, loaded with potatoes and chicken. If you're really hungry the Fat Paul Special is wonderful value, double meat and double vegetable for a few more baht (ask why it's called the fat paul)... If you are hungry Budsi's place is just a great place to hang out and have a beer and have the craic... Friday nights are great there.. The people who run it are super chill and really helpful if you need info about Lopburi, getting around, things to do and Thailand in general... There's a good book exchange also... Anyway visit Budsi's, it's brilliant (think I might have mentioned that before)... Check out Taco Tuesday and BBQ Friday - if the BBQ still happens the ribs are delicious.. The very best wishes from Ireland to all in Budsi's... :)
Nice cosy coffee shop at MDR Hotel where also BFast is served and great place with local thai dishes to your liking and just if you want a coffee or a drink its a nice place

We chose to go to Bua Luang based on the recommendations in TripAdvisor and other on-line rating agencies. At first glance it is easy to see why Bua Luang rates so highly. It is an elegant building, set in meticulously manicured tropical gardens with many water features. There is a choice of dining inside or in the gardens in gazebos or al fresco. The waiters are immaculately turned out in razor-creased black trousers, starched white shirts and black ties. Even their shoes were polished, I noticed. But at the end I was disappointed because the food was anodyne. Don't get me wrong. There was nothing amiss with anything we ordered. It was just that in such a special setting I had imagined that the food would be a little above the pedestrian. But it wasn't. Each dish we ordered we could have enjoyed at equal quality, and at a lesser price, at any Thai restaurant that knows the basics. We had deep fried salted sea bass, braised pork spare ribs, chili paste with vegetables, stir fried mixed vegetables and rice. With one bottle of beer and three soft drinks the bill was Baht 1,100, before tip.I am sorry, but I cannot award five stars to Bua Luang because in the end it is the food that is the final arbiter.
