We often go out of our way to get our Chinese takeaway food from here. Their dumplings are divine and their Chinese meals authentic and very fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced.

First time trying this takeaway shop. Do not appreciate staff hovering over the bain marie as you are making a selection. The polystyrine containers are that flimsy that part of it broke away as I was holding it. The beef and vegetable dish had a very unpleasant sauce that tasted like regenerated mixed sauces. The wontons and spring rolls must have been out of the freezer because they were that brittle, bits were breaking off and flying around as I was eating them. The sweet n sour pork was very gelatinous and most unpleasant. Won't be back.

Well worth visiting to dine in or takeaway, food is always great as well as the service. Took my brother and sister-in-law from Kenya, here for Dinner and they were very impressed, and strongly recommend visiting as well.

KANNIGA THAI in Kaiapoi has been a favourite for many years, either for dining-in or takeaway. Service is always quick and very friendly. Da Wandering Wabbits marked their anniversary there recently with yet another delicious meal, starting with Tom Kha Gai ($13). This is a classic chicken and coconut soup made of coconut milk, lemongrass, fresh ginger, lime juice, fish sauce, chilli paste and basil â all of which make their presence known throughout this great entree. Mrs Wabbit then selected the Seafood Special ($23) â a delicious stir-fry of prawns, mussels, scallops and squid with a hint of chilli, and Mr Wabbit enjoyed Pineapple Fried Rice ($25) â a great combo of rice, chicken, prawn, squid and cashews served in a hollowed-out pineapple. A very enjoyable evening with outstanding flavours!

We had takeaways and loved all our dishes. I especially enjoyed my entree of grispy squid and it was a very generous serving size. Also loved that satay chicken is not your normal peanut base like thai but more of a chilli tomato base. We found the med size serves were plenty. Will be back.

The only Japanese restaurant in North Canterbury, located upstairs adjacent to the main supermarket car park in Kaiapoi
A group of us went for dinner. The entertainment was great and the chef cooked the food in front of us which was nice. There was 8 in our party and we all were impressed with the meal and it was all cooked to perfection. We had a birthday person and they bought out a candle and sang for his birthday which was nice to finish off the evening with. Themenul was easy to follow and plenty of variety. We would go back again. The stairs could be a problem to some people but it is well worth the price and entertainment and great meal out. Service was good and they were very helpful.
