Located on the highway and is a popular place with the Chinese tour groups. As other reviewers say, this is a typical westernised Chinese restaurant and they would give you knives, forks, and plates and only give you chopsticks if you ask. Ordered wonton soup, black bean beef, and rice. Rice was very dry with no moisture to it, black bean beef had lots of veggies but virtually no meat but wonton soup was OK. Beer they served was warm too, served at just below 10 degrees maybe.Didn't like the part where they sat us; in a poorly lit section of the restaurant while all the tour groups were in the brightly lit section. This had the result of being served poorly and actually had to go to the front and get someone's attention to pay. Overall, Golden is not a godd place for restaurants, one has better prospects in Revelstoke. I will never likely return to this place.

We were passing through Golden and stayed one night at a campground and went to this restaurant for dinner. Quite a surprise to find good Chinese food in the mountains. Servings were very large and quite tasty. My wife and I shared the golfers special that had 10 different items and we were both stuffed. All for $24. Good food and good value. We noticed others around us and all servings seemed to be quite large including their combo meals. Food was hot and freshly prepared.
This may not lookprosing from the outside, but listen to the locals. This place sells amazing sushi. It is in a gas station, but DO NOT be put off by this. We has to wait 15 minutes for the sushi to be made fresh for us. And it was worth the wait.I come from London England, and we have sushi restaurants on every street, so I know when sushi is good or bad, and this was GREAT.I can recommend the sashimi, the dynamite roll and the avacado and salmon roll.Fab, thanks

Q's was referred to us by the hotel staff in Golden, BC. It was everything we hoped for. The food was attractively presented, and the flavours were equally amazing. The serving staff easily and accurately answered our menu questions. I would build a travel schedule around making time to stop at Q's for a meal in the future.

Actually, maybe average is a better descriptor. My korma was good, lamb was very tender and no grizzle. But it was not served with rice [found out after left with the take-out]. Tandoori mix was average. Lots of naan with meal, but it a bit doughy. Still, we enjoyed the change.

This is one of the best finds in golden. It has an amazing staff with personable owners and authentic Japanese food. We would go here 2-3 times a week and gladly. We got to know the owners as they are very kind. The food is all beyond affordable and a great place to go after skiing. Thank you so much for all the good food and great times, we will be back next winter!!!
