The food was good. It was not outstanding, but definitely as good as most Chinese buffets in Kansas. Some dishes were more than average, and others just average. There was a fairly large number of dishes available including several sea foods, pork, beef, and chicken.The service, OTOH, is exceptional. Dirty plates were taken from the table almost as soon as they were empty. My water glass never got close to empty.The wait staff were attentive. It was a little later in the dinner hour. I saw a guest ask about a dish that was not on the buffet (all had been taken by guests). The person he asked went immediately to an apparent supervisor who went immediately to the kitchen.In a fairly short amount of time, I saw the dish arrive from the kitchen and the guest who had asked was informed that it was there.Price was $9.99 for Saturday dinner.

We eat at the Peking Express frequently. Food is always good and we enjoy the restaurant. We also use the delivery service. We use their internet web site as well. Food is prepared quickly and the restaurant is clean. The family that runs the Peking Express is very friendly.

I was pleasantly surprised when I had lunch here recently while driving through Emporia. While I prefer spicier, Szechuan/Hunan style dishes, the shrimp chow mein lunch special (~$6) that I had was quite tasty. The ingredients were fresh and the meal freshly prepped. Not fast, but considerably better than I was prepared for. Service was also quite welcoming.

This place has amazing pho and pad Thai and numerous variations! Very nice quiet atmosphere inside - a little dark - but the staff is friendly & helpful. Food is excellent and large portions. This is a specific type of cuisine (Lao) and I love it! Been here several times and will continue to frequent often.

We had our food delivered to our hotel room. We ordered 4 egg rolls and received 1 packet of duck sauce. The food was good, but we would have been happier with more duck sauce.

We now have 3 places that server sushi in Emporia and Shangri-La is by far the best. Food quality is excellent, service is exceptional, and the price is very reasonable. If you don't like sushi they also have teriyaki. I took a college student from Japan to Shangri-La and he said it was just like home!
