I went there with several friends. I had never been there before and was very pleased with the food and service. I was disappointed in the limited lunch menu with no option to order things from the dinner menu. My only complaint was with the chow mein, just noodles with little to no veggies in it, very disappointed in that.

From time to time I think of returning here for a meal, and then while I'm going through the buffet line I remember why I don't frequent this restaurant. The food seems to all taste alike, it doesn't appear fresh and usually several item trays are empty. I now vow to not return ever again!

This restaurant has exemplary food and service. There's Chinese food and then there's high quality Chinese food. This is high quality Chinese food. Amazing.

We stopped at 3:05 and ate a late lunch. I don't know if we were on the lunch menu or dinner menu, but it was good. Sweetheart ordered Sweet and Sour Pork and I ordered Cashew Prawns, and we made them a meal for $2 extra to include soup and an eggroll. We shared entrees. I got fried rice, and it was very tasty. The S&S Pork had a slightly different flavor than we were used to, and my husband enjoyed it a great deal. I had many prawns (about 10) that were perfectly cooked and nice and tender. The meal was less than $20 without tip. The staff was having their family meal when we came in, and we were the only customers for a while. The Chef came out to see how we enjoyed the meal, and 3 wait staff checked on us while we dined. This was a quaint, good restaurant on a main street.

Japanese Ramen Noodle Bar in the heart of downtown Sonora.
Excellent ramen - almost comparable to the ones in Tokyo. Ramen was cooked perfectly, almost "al dente" and "springy". The broth was not too salty, and the generous portions of toppings complemented the noodles-broth well. Overall an excellent bowl of ramen especially on a cold fall day!The beef teriyaki bowl was a disaster though - beef was cut too big a slice, tough, and dry. Hardly any teriyaki sauce/taste to them. Rice was over cooked and dry. Ended up eating maybe 20% of the bowl, not appetizing at all.Go for the ramen, stick to the ramen. Forget the teriyaki bowls.

I enjoyed the atmosphere at this restaurant and good service, but my salad was questionable. My cousin ordered the shrimp salad, it looked really good and he said it was delicious. I thought I would be healthy and ordered the salad with Avocado apples and chicken. It sounded really healthy but it wasn't at all. In fact quite the opposite. It tasted like it was drenched in Mayonnaise, and when I asked the waitress what the dressing was, she confirmed it was mayonnaise after I had eaten most of it already. So if your looking for a healthy salad, don't order this one! I will return here for dinner, I will just order something else and a salad with dressing on the side.
