For my first time with korean food, I have been very surprised with the quality of service and cockeries. The waitress was very helpful to give us advices when we have ordered . Dolsotbap and its various was delicious. Kimchi were very well cooked. After ten small appetizing dishes, I did not feel heavy, that's why I ordered tasty and sweet dessert Tteok with no regret. Definitely the best initiation to korean food, can't wait to go back.

Thanks to TripAdvisor, I found L'étoile d'Asie as being the top Vietnamese restaurant in Lyon and #72 overall. I can now confirm that this is true, having gone there for dinner the other night. Afraid the place might be fully booked on a Saturday night, I called 30 minutes ahead and was surprised that they had a table for us. I was even given precise instructions on how to get there by public transport. We arrived and were politely asked to wait a couple of minutes while our table was being prepared. Exactly 2 minutes later, we were seated at our table. The waiter was very helpful and guided us in our choices. My in-laws had never tasted Vietnamese food before and were convinced to blindly follow our kind waiter's recommendations. Being notoriously tough on food, I was amazed as I saw my in-laws gulp down there food with barely a word spoken in between, such was the level of their gastronomic enchantment. My barometer when it comes to Vietnamese food is the Nems (Vietnamese spring rolls) and the Bo Bun. They came in at the very top of my personal scale. They were absolutely delicious! I ordered the menu with a dessert for a very affordable 20â¬. Most of the main courses are priced between 14⬠and 17â¬.The restaurant is located really close to the Rhone river, not far from place Bellecour and if you are lucky to dine on the terrace you might get a seat with a view of the Fourvière Basilica between two buildings, beautifully illuminated at night. As we finished our meal, we were discussing places to go visit the next day and the waiter politely interceded to give us his advice as a local which we greatly appreciated. We chatted with him for a few minutes and left, feeling full, content, and happy at finding such a great place to eat. After 100 yards, we saw our waiter sprinting towards us with a sweater that we had left behind. Great service indeed from start to (beyond) finish. If you are hesitating about where to go eat and are sick of the typical Lyon "Bouchons", look no further than L'étoile d'Asie. You can go in there eyes closed. I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed!

We've been to this restaurant with my partner and a friend, searching for japanese food of good quality (we all spent some time in Japan and we're missing the local flavors). We all took ramen, which was good, surely well above the quality of other restaurants we tried, even if still far from what you can get in Japan. The quality of he noodles, in particular, could easily be improved.A plus instead surely for the quality of the broth (the one with curry is excellent), the meat (portions to be larger) and the usage of the eggs. The dessert also was very good.A big bemolle instead on the time of waiting. True is that the restaurant was full, but almost one hour to get a ramen is too long.Overall an enjoyable place and not expensive (10-11 ⬠for a ramen), to be reserved because it's not big and even during the week it was full.

A great TripAdvisor find that's slightly off the beaten tourist path of Lyon. Service was great and the food was delicious, with a selection of food that we've never seen before. We ordered two set meals - one was the vegetarian and the other, I believe was called Annapurna. It was a lot of food for two people, especially since it included dessert.

We tried Miko sushi right after returning from a trip to Japan! So, our expectations were high. And we were not disappointed. The food was excellent: sushi, choux salad, miso soup, gyozas and yakitoris were all delicious. The service was fast and very friendly. The restaurant is a bright, welcoming space. Highly recommended.
