A great little Chinese restaurant which has been here for many years. Itâs nothing fancy, but is a cut above your average place. Fillet beef dishes are available in addition to normal beef and there are options such things such as scallop dishes. Good if you want a break from British fayre.

Japanese restaurant and deli shop importing Japanese products. Sushi, sashimi, seafood omakase. Vegan and vegetarian options. Pescatarian, gluten free. Taster menus, takeaway and cookery school. Sushi making ingredients and Japanese teas. Bookings highly
We found this restaurant by chance and they had a cancellation, luckily for us.We had sushi, which was freshly prepared made in front of us, chicken gyoza and edamame. We finished with the Kyoto duck which was perfectly cooked and in a beautifully balanced sauce to aid digestion. All the while watching the chef prepare food for 14 other diner's. This place is an excellent experience a whole evening and we weren't rushed even though they could be a genneric restaurant and get you in and out. We'll definitely be returning to this hidden gem, lovely hosts, fantastic food.

We dined at Wabi Sabi last night to celebrate a special birthday with a 7 course taster menu. The evening from start to finish was superb. Everything from the ambience, our wonderful host, who explained all the courses and the beautiful presentation of each of the dishes made this dining experience something that just has to be shared. The Sashimi and Sushi with Native Lobster and Tuna Toro was just divine. Whole Langoustine and Snow Crab Tempura and Native Lobster Ramen an absolute taste explosion. The Sesame and Miso Cheese Cake and Ice Cream was a delicious surprise, but the jewel in the crown has to be the Japanese Wagyu, never before have I tasted such perfection!!! Wabi Sabi is an absolute must for anyone visiting our wonderful Lake District. Thank you again for such a memorable night.

Take Away
Absolutely top class food. The menu had different variations to ours at home such as curry spring rolls and salt and pepper beef. The pork curry was fantastic. Hot salt and pepper chips just the right amount of heat. Usually busy when we walk past. Don't think they do delivery and are closed Mondays (I think) Worth phoning in an order or placing one then going for a swift pint in one of the local pubs. A must if you are self catering in Ambleside.
