Fairview Great House and Botanical Garden is an attraction like no other here in beautiful St. Kitts. Nestled at the foot of Olivees Mountain, enjoy a guided walk around the great house which is believed to have been initially built in 1701 by the French. This Great House has had many owners and inhabitants over the years, each leaving their mark and contributing to the unique history of the property. We also operate a number of Tours from this location including our Caribbean Flavours Cooks Tour; Fairview Rum Tour.

We booked the Caribbean Cooks shore excursion through Disney Cruise Line. It started with a tour of the historic home and some of the surrounding buildings. Then we headed to the kitchen area. Once seated we were asked if anyone wanted to help cook (two teens volunteered) and the chef prepared a fantastic meal. Close to the end of the cooking demo, we went to the gardens and then stopped at the bar for a sample tasting of the local flavored rum. The vanilla rum was excellent! Once all tastings were done we headed back to the kitchen area for our meal. The food was delicious (best fish I've ever eaten and others commented the same) and the recipes were provided. Both tour guides and the chef were excellent. I would do this shore excursion again if I were ever back in St. Kitts!!
