By living outside of the range of the Hardee's chain, it's always a pleasure when I can go back. I was pleasantly surprised with the direction that Hardee's is going with it's menu. I had the hand-breaded chicken strips and beer battered onion rings. YUM! So now Hardee's is a stop for me not only for breakfast but also for a quick lunch as well. As for this particular location of Hardee's, I found the staff to be courteous. The service to be prompt and the store to be clean. I'll be back.

My mother and I went on a Sunday after church. We ordered chicken and the waitress told us that it would be a 35 minute wait because they only cook their fried chicken fresh (on a Sunday, after church. Really? That is the stupidest management decision in the history of restaurants). However we decided it was worth a 35 min wait. It wasnât worth an hour and 15 min wait though. The place was not that crowded. It is the last time that I will go to Wilsonâs. The other place in town makes better barbeque and if the management doesnât care about their customers, then this customer doesnât care if they stay in business.

Anita made the difference. She's very personable, disarmingly honest, and quite efficient in our service. I had a side salad, quite nice, and a small cup of tomato basil soup , which was excellent. The club 1/2 sandwich was at best OK. My wife had the French onion soup she said was very good and a crunchy chicken salad, which looked & tasted much better better than my sandwich. The "music" was a little louder than I like at lunch. Overall, food OK to good, service, excellent, a little pricey for what you get food wise, but OK for a change.

We were driving through South Hill and looking for a place to grab lunch. We saw The Hungry Farmer on TripAdvisor and since we like to give local establishments a shot, we chose this one. My husband had the Scott's Mouth watering Spicy 1/3 lb. Brisket & Onion Burger and I had a cheeseburger. My husband's selection was amazing! My burger was really good but had too much bun for the amount of burger. I think there was an option for a double burger so that would have been a better choice. Other than that, the flavor was tasty and it was well cooked. But the highlight for the both of us was the hand-cut fries! They were really amazing! We shared a piece of coconut pie to top off a good meal. We are glad we chose the local option and gave The Hungry Farmer a chance. It did not disappoint!

I've never been served a bad meal at Cracker Barrel. We go at least twice a month for breakfast, and every couple months for lunch or dinner. Love the antiques hanging from the ceiling!

Referred by Tashanda at the Hampton Inn to try this local treat. And we were not disappointed. Omgoodness, I got the grilled pork chops with mashed potatoes and mac n cheese and could not stop eating. Don't tell my mother in law but this mac n cheese is better than hers. Wife got the South Hill Club with fries and was very very happy with her decision.You have GOT to try this place, we are definitely coming back.Great service also.
