Had the pork Casado, chicken empanada and ceviche. Pork was a little rubbery and the ceviche smaller than expected but the empanada made up for that in size. It was overall a tasty meal, with a nice view of the ocean. Owners might want to fix the fact that there are two different stereo systems playing conflicting music within earshot of the tables!Hi Gaurav, Thank you for your review and feedback. We ate here twice on our trip. The food was great both times and they give you large portions. It happened to be happy hour both times too! The specials were also really good and cheap! Inside is super fun and cute and you can also sit upstairs. Wait staff is friendly.Thank you Lisa, we are glad you enjoyed your time with us. Come back soon !Cheers,Frank

There is a small "food court" type area in Samara where this place is located. The people were very friendly. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I had the lunch special both days that we ate there and it cost approximately $5 US. Their smoothies and tropical ice's are also very good. This is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat while in Samara at low cost.

The food was wonderful. Location bang on the beach. Their "save the planet" approach to their food and running of the restuarant (no plastic, no meat) was well conceived and delivered. And whilst Tico time is one of the attractions of this place, the service was so slow as to bring 5 star review down to 3. The night we were there, people at 2 tables left due to slow service. A real shame and we nver went back as there was too big a risk of missing bad time for our daughter (due to slow service).

The food and service at this quaint restaurant can't be beat. Their specialties are delicious. Don't miss the bbq ribs! They are also known for their chicken cordon blu with jalapeno cream sauce.... certainly a don't miss while in Samara or Carrillo.... just past Carrillo watch on the left for the bright pink pillars. Turn in up the hill to the right.

We had a great time watching the SuperBowl at El Sueno Tropical's restaurant/bar. Both of the owners were welcoming, and very interesting to talk to. All of the other guests we met and talked to were interesting travelers representing several different countries, the relaxed mood was very enjoyable. We shared two appetizers and a pizza, all very good, reasonably priced.The full bar really IS a full bar, with a variety of liquor and mixers. We stayed in Playa Carrillo with a friend, so we were not in need of a hotel, but the grounds and pool area that we walked through look very clean and well-groomed. Next time we're in the area we won't hesitate to stop by.
