Hinton is Nostalgic for me. My dad would take us there when we were little. The Market opening has generated some business and employment for this small town. I was so excited to visit. The food was great as well as the service. It can was super busy but we were able to get a table quickly. The ranch dressing is amazing!

After reading some of the really bad reviews, my husband and I hesitated eating at the Bluestone Dining Room while staying at Pipestem. Our meal was great! I ordered the ribeye (cooked perfectly) which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The portion was huge and it came with salad bar and soup (tomato basil, delicious). My husband ordered the fish and chips. It came with a big piece of fish, coleslaw and fries. We had enough leftovers for breakfast the next day. Our server, Justin, was polite and knowledgeable. After all the bad reviews, we were glad to see that possibly some changes have been made and really enjoyed ourselves and the beautiful view.Thank you for your wonderful review of the Bluestone Dining Room at McKeever Lodge. The resort is now operating the food service operations, and we are improving many aspects of our food and beverage operations at the park. This includes not only the Bluestone, but also the Black Bear Grille, Tramways Sweets, and Mountain Creek Dining Room. Please come back again soon!

Donât miss out on gourmet meals at mountain creek dinning, you wonât regret it.Thank you for such a nice review. The restaurant is located at Mountain Creek Lodge, which is accessible only by aerial tramway. A great place to watch the zip liners and those fishing along the Bluestone River! My husband and I had dinner at the Oak on a Saturday night while staying at Pipestem Resort. Our server was super sweet and the view was lovely. We started with the Escargot, perfect! For entrees, I had the Red Snapper with Crawfish Cream Sauce and my husband had the St. Patrick's Day special which consisted of corned beef. Everything was presented beautifully. The only thing I had an issue with was the beverages. For $7, you get a glass of house wine. I literally had less than half a glass (not a big wine glass), so I felt kind of ripped off. Also, I was charged $12 for a martini that was not filled up very far as well - but everything else was great and I didn't want to complain. Other than that, excellent visit.

Since opening our doors in 2002, we have added two additional seating areas. We have an indoor dining room, an enclosed porch as well as an open-air deck that is also utilized in winter months! Casual attire, friendly atmosphere, and great food and drinks
My husband and I ate here because of it being suggested by friends. Good food and good service. They have delicious fried tomatoes! Would visit again!
