We were staying outside of Asheville, NC and decided to try The Stack House. They are a very locals friendly bar/pub food place with good food and nice people. We started off with the Double Dipper appetizer with warm pimento cheese dip and spinach dip, served with pita chips. It was a large serving and tasted great. We both went with salads with chicken added. Had the Spillcorn Cobb and my wife had the Big Laurel. Both were more than ample and loaded with chicken. They tasted great as well. They have a large selection of beers as well as ample wine list. Our server was Jerry, and he did fine.

We actually stopped in for breakfast but we were 10 mins late. They cut off breakfast at 11am SHARP! So we ordered lunch and it was good. Nothing special but good just the same. Service was fine and cleanliness was apparent. This day happened to be very busy and they were understaffed. But they made the best of it and did a fine job.

Casual cozy family atmosphere serving country style breakfast lunch and dinner seven days a week. Located in quaint downtown Marshall on Main Street next door to the Madison County Courthouse. Open 7am Mon- Fri and 8am Sat and Sun. Close at 3pm Sun, Mon a
The owner Deb is very personable and friendly. The only reason not excellent this visit, was the very long wait for the food. We waited over 1 hour for a sandwich, fries and chicken nuggets. Good staff, not sure what happened in the kitchen. We enjoyed our food, but beer was long gone when the food arrived. We do want to mention that they support Farmony's Safari Adventure in Marshall and we think that is pretty special. We will go back again, just an off day, I'm sure.

Pleasant neighborhood brewery with old mountain feel. Best way there is off the highway . We took a scenic route through the mountains and through the woods. Not far from the collage.Very pleasant. Didn't stay too long because it was our forth brewery stop. Will have to go back another time.

Good stuff-nice fun atmosphere, local character, great baconBad stuff-40 minutes to make pancakes is too long, especially when they still got the order wrong-it came out with a huge dollop of sour cream on top-at least I think that's what it was-anyway-not what I asked for. -Also, pancakes had a slight crust on top-more brown than golden, though YMMV. Coffee typical weak diner fair.-$13.70 or so for an order of cakes, a side of bacon, and coffee is a bit stiff IMO given other prices at restaurants in the areaAll that said, I did see what looked like some great food passing by our table. If you come here, my advice is allow 5 minutes for every unserved person you see-that will give you an idea of the wait time...and this wasn't all that crowded. It was busy but no wait to sit down.

Made reservations (highly recommend) and was promptly shown to our table. Drink orders were taken, and delivered minutes later. The 3 specials were described in such a manner that I wanted each one! We settled on two appetizers for the table, a pork belly over the best creamed corn, and flash fried oysters that were juicy, delicious and well seasoned. Two ordered filets, two order trout, one ordered crab cakes and my wife ordered lobster ravioli, which was one of the specials. None of us regretted our choices; all were excellent, as were the sides each came with. We ended our meal with two desserts for our table which were did not disappoint. The service was as wonderful as the food, and the prices are not unreasonable for what they delivered. I am very happy to have a restaurant of this caliber in Marshall, and will be back soon and often.
