Kamiah (/ˈkæmi.aɪ/ ( listen) KAM-ee-eye) is a city in Idaho and Lewis counties in the U.S. state of Idaho. The largest city in Lewis County, it extends only a small distance into Idaho County, south of Lawyer Creek. The population was 1,295 at the 2010 census, up from 1,160 in 2000. The city lies in the narrow valley of the Clearwater River; downstream are Orofino and Lewiston, at the confluence with the Snake River.

We ate a light dinner at the Kooskia Cafe recently with several friends. My husband and I had BLT's. Afterwards, we enjoyed homemade coconut cream pie. It was the birthday of one of the women in our group. Another woman quietly asked our waitress if they did anything for birthdays. She said that they gave a free piece of pie. Our waitress then proceeded to try and discover what kind of pie our friend liked best. At the end of the meal, she and another staff member brought out a piece of pie with a candle in it and sang "Happy Birthday" to our friend. Great place to visit!

This is a fun place to eat, especially on Friday night, when they have Karaoke. The good is pretty good, the prices are good, and the waitresses are very friendly. It's a bar, with no separation between the bar patrons and dining patrons, so it's not really a great place for kids. But it seems to be a friendly, non-rowdy crowd. Service is slow, but that could be because it was packed both times that we've been here.

This a gem of a place in a beautiful little town. The staff made me feel very welcome, there was a good selection of beer and great food. What more could you ask for?

I came to this restaurant while visiting family in the area. Itâs a nice clean environment. The food was good and generous. The baked items were good we took some extras home with us. Service was a little slow but the staff was friendly, polite and helpful. Thanks for stopping on. We are happy you enjoyed your visit.
