My wife and I ate here for lunch on Sunday and the food was amazing. She had the meatloaf special with 2,sides I had a HUGE CHEESE BURGER! The burger was served on a jalapeño cheese bun and is 1/3 pound of beef. The French fries were hand cut and cooked perfectly. The meatloaf was seasoned very well and my wife had a salad and a baked potato loaded. If youâre looking for a new place where you get good food at a reasonable price just follow the light of the LANTERN.

It's just 4 miles west of Hamilton, Texas on Hwy 36 but once there you'll think you are at a big city attraction. This is a major amatuer and professional rodeo venue, where literally thousands of rodeo participants come to compete in every form of rodeo event known. And between events in the twin arenas, the CrossFire Cafe will give you good food and drinks at a reasonable price. We go on Thursday evenings for their 2 for 1 Steaks and Chicken specials. One of the good places to visit in Hamilton County.

Eat here for lunch a lot - hubby likes it! Typical burger fare. Most weekdays they have a plate lunch buffet, which is excellent. Excellent ice tea! Burgers, steak fingers, and club sandwich are very good. You can tell they grow some of the food-the tomatoes when in season are excellent.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. I come from Tickfaw, La. to meet family to eat and visit. Hamilton has several great places to eat and Crossfire is certainly one of them. Hamilton and The Inn are home away from home and Crossfire is one of the reasons it is. I'm getting homesick just writing this!!!!! You will not be disappointed either.

We found Wenzel's during a little mini day trip my husband and I were on. We arrived around lunch time on a Saturday. Their pork butt sandwich was on special and came highly recommended. It was amazing. Paired it off with some coleslaw for myself and potato salad for my husband. Added bonus was the wonderful cook provided us with samples of their polish sausage. After two bites I knew we had to buy some to take home! We also purchased their delicious smoked cheese. They also sell large ready to eat meals and while we were eating I saw a number of local folks coming in to grab them out of the freezer. This place is family owned and operated and they provide great food and service. Can't wait to visit again!

I love this place. It's my favorite go to foe lunch and now also has breakfast. Folks are home folks and food is had made while you wait which wontbbe long! Owner also does desserts and you won't be disappointed. Lunch specials very week day. Choice of soup, salad or fruit in season. Always strawberry lemonade and tea or water for drinks.
