The woman with the red glasses cooking our food was funny and attentive. That makes it hard to give this review but honesty demands it for the sake of future travellers and the business owner, if they're listening. The fish sandwich had a good beer batter flavor but it and the tater tots (!yay!) were ruined by fryer grease that was way old. It also didn't come with the tartar sauce as advertised but they happily made some upon request. The country breakfast skillet was really good. It was generous with meat, had well cooked eggs, was well seasoned, and had nice heat from some jalapeno. The waffles had good vanilla flavor and good color, but were rubbery and required a knife to eat. They reminded me of the premade waffle mix that free hotel buffets use.The coffee tasted burnt. The staff kindly made more. Unfortunately, i still wasn't very good and tasted of a burnt pot.Penny's has promise but just didn't deliver. Pros: -friendly staff-real diner car-tasty breakfast skillet-decent menu-clean bathroom-24/7 serviceCons:-flies everywhere...alot of them-really dirty floors in the dining area-slow to the table after we sat-OLD fryer oil-menu items not delivered as advertised
Just a normal subway, nothing special. The subway places have drastically gone down in their products. They hardly put anything on them anymore. Still expensive. The waitresses here are not nice either and have way too many personal issues.

I have eaten here twice the first time I would say it was good to fair this last time was poor I ordered fish and chips while I prefer Cod, Catfish is usually not bad, this fish tasted like mud! I highly doubt this was farm raised Cat Fish if so it is very low quality

In downtown Dexter the quaint Corner Stop Cafe is small but so welcoming. The two ladies working today were very pleasant & took care of us quickly. I had the Reuben panini with cucumber pasta as a sideâboth very delicious. My husband had the chicken sandwich with cole slaw sideâagain very tasty. It sets across the street from a still operating Ben Franklin store, which is closed on Sunday (darn). Very nice downtown area, only wished it was a weekday so shops were open. Worth the stop, right off Highway 60.

Our table enjoyed ribs, fish sandwich and chicken stir fry. All were great! Friendly staff, clean facility, relaxing and fast service.
