The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

ZSL London Zoo is packed full of wonder and amazement, with over 650 species of animals to meet and thousands more surprising and fascinating facts just waiting to be discovered. Find yourself face-to-face with our Asiatic lions and our friendly giraffes whilst they enjoy a spot of lunch. Wander through our Madagascan shrub forest and see how many of our ring-tailed lemurs you can spot before heading down to B.U.G.S to quiz our insect experts on the importance of insects to our ecosystem. Then, if you're feeling brave, you can get up close and personal and take a Spider Selfie with our resident arachnids in Europe’s only walk-through spider experience. Not to mention firm favourites Gorilla Kingdom, Penguin Beach and Tiger Territory. This is a place where fun days help us fund raise. Where your visit will help support our conservation work in over 50 countries around the world. Where really great days out can make a really positive difference to the wildlife we work to protect.
Spent the whole day here and still don’t think I saw everything. Paid for the tickets with Tesco vouchers which made it really good value. Park area clean and tidy and park staff very helpful and polite Animal enclosures clean and animals look well cared for with room to move around staff on hand to give information if required Restaurant and gift shop pricey but that’s to be expected water freely available in restaurant for no charge All considered a really good day out

There's a world of enjoyment at Battersea Park Children's Zoo. From feeding the farm animals, spying on the meerkats in the secret lookout, children will have hours of fun. With monkeys, snakes, pigs, donkeys, ring tailed lemurs, parrots, rabbits, emu, chipmunks, coati, wallabies and chickens, plus a fun-packed adventure playground with a real tractor and fire engine, it's a great family day out.
We visited the first week of re opening, my son was really excited to be visiting the animals. Also for me it was great we could actually visit somewhere other than going for another park walk! Also wanted to support the zoo. First visit to Battersea zoo and was not sure if we would be there long as I read it was very small but we were there a long while. We got to see all the animals up close and there were many to see. I liked that it was very personable and there were also lots areas to sit where you could watch the animals. The staff and zoo keepers were lovely. The zookeepers I believe James and Jamie were amazing with the children. While feeding the animals they spent time talking with my son and even took him back to see the poison dart frog as we couldn't see it when we looked. On speaking to them they were really happy to have the zoo open again and to welcome visitors back.We took lots of photos! If your wanting to see all the big animals such as tigers of course you won't find them here but there are lots of various animals here worthy to see and we learnt lots around their conservation work. We are already planning our next visit! One note in regards to social distancing. The zoo were all set up, not overcrowded, lots arrows, signs and washing facilities. But as with everywhere it is down to the individuals. Some people were keeping to distancing but you cannot stop small children running around and be up close so you have to be aware and it seems many parents just let it happen and even do it themselves!

Hanwell Zoo is completely charming and appears to be run by a small but very dedicated team of friendly zookeepers. A great deal of thought and care has gone in to each animal’s environment and there is useful information dotted around. This is no London Zoo, but then doesn’t profess to be. It is small and features an eclectic mix of animals including capybaras, ring-tailed lemurs, rabbits, New Zealand pigs, flamingos, meerkats, goats, love birds and butterflies. There is also a cafe, shop and playground. *Importantly, it is also home to an alpaca who looks like it’s wearing trousers.

We had a very enjoyable day out at the zoo. Such a lovely range of animals, penguin beach is brilliant, as is the giraffe area and the gorilla enclosure. The tiger area is fantastic too. There are three different routes clearly marked to help you see everything, avoid getting lost and help with social distancing. Also, lots of sanitiser around the area. The cafe area was a little chaotic but fine, plenty of seating. Also lots of picnic areas if you prefer to bring in your own food. The only slight downside was the cycling facilities. We cycled there and were disappointed with the area to lock up bikes - very small and poorly maintained.
