16 mile cellar is a small, family owned and operated winery and vineyard. Founded in 2010, we are located on 16 Mile Creek, at the foot of the 20 Mile Bench, near the town of Jordan. We have top quality vinifera wine grapes planted on 12 of our 28 acre property, with a specific focus on varieties that suit our terrior: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Our wines exhibit the rich soil and climate characteristics of the Niagara Escarpment, portraying the glacial deposits and soils of the ancient Iriquois Lake. We are zealous winemakers. From planting to harvesting and from organic production to delivery we indulge in every detail to ensure that every bottle meets our very high standards. Our goal is to produce small quantities of hand-picked, hand-made and distinctive wines each year, which, so far, have garnered the attention of wine critics across the country. 13th Street Winery specializes in small lot estate grown, hand-crafted table and sparkling wines. Since 1998, 13th Street Winery has continued to establish itself as one of the top small producers in the area, winning praise for its Gamay, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and méthode traditionelle sparkling wines. Hernder's offers two locations for ceremonies as well as two reception rooms in our 1867 Victorian Barn complete with pine, stone and fireplaces.
