Find out what Wine Bar restaurants to try in Windermere. This popular resort town is located just a mile from Windermere Lake, the largest lake in England and alleged home of more than one peculiar sea creature. If we've scared you out of skiing, boating and fishing in Windermere Lake, there's always horseback riding and golf. Or you can explore the lake from the safety of a ferryboat, which regularly takes passengers from Hawkshead to Bowness.

Warm and welcoming,,,,snug and cosy,,,charming and quirkey....the list goes on and on..!!! Let your self drop in and have a drink or two and try one of the many Craft Ales they sell. This little bar has more about it than most bigger chains could ever strive for. And from the "Smallest Pub" title in the lakes to its indoor beer garden, this is a real jem of a place, coupled with its massive range of ales, beers and ciders, we found it truely one of the Lakes best little places to visit...

We'd originally planned to visit the Easy Breeze but despite stating online that it's open 11am to midnight, they were putting the tables out when we arrived and were opening for the football later!!My friends had previously visited the Country Hut and enjoyed it. It was quiet, early evening, but the young lady serving was friendly and made some decent cocktails. The Rum Punch did pack a punch, you could really taste the alcohol, not always the case.I'd like to revisit when it's buzzing.

The Fizzy Tarte is all about treating yourself - or someone else. A carefully considered selection of beers, wine, Champagne and cocktails will be on offer together with light bites - ideal for long lazy lunches that stretch right out into the evening. At
Fantastic food. Sandwiches very fresh and all fillings were extremely tasty. A nice variety of cakes. We were served by Flori who, despite being busy, catered to our every need. We asked for plain scones in advance so, if you are not a fan of fruit scones, ask when you book. A selection of hot and cold drinks available as part of the afternoon tea was a nice extra (different to tea and coffee). Do not eat at his establishment! Food was inedible! I have only ever given positive feedback on Trip Advisor however, I feel compelled to submit this review as my experience was purely and simply unacceptable. Complained to waitress who was disinterested and shrugged her shoulders in response to our complaints about the raw food.If you only give positive feed back on TripAdvisor how is this your FIRST review?
The Windermere Speakeasy is a Coffee & Tea House daytime which transforms to a cocktail & wine bar serving world class drinks accompanied Mediterranean themed delicacies by night.
Only open around 7 weeks. Small restaurant and bar. Excellent, very friendly and welcoming staff. Had a panini which was very good hubby had sandwich with side of fries. He said it was the tastiest food he had ever had in Windermere as it was such good quality without dressings etc. Food is served with a large very fresh salad and tortilla chips. Very good - hope they do well as they deserve it
