Tucked down an alley and hidden underground, Palmer & Co. is a time warp to the era of prohibition with its bootleggers, sly-groggers and the like. The 1920s-style clandestine bar serves up an extensive menu of spirits and specially crafted cocktails usin
It's sort fo hidden. If you don't know that it's in a small alley there are chances you will not find it. When we entered the bar, the first thing that hit was music which transports you to another era straight away. The ambiance is fantastic! It's like you have time traveled into the 1920s, the music, the decor, the servers in their unique attire (all had different looks but1920s theme going on), the lighting all serve the purpose of transporting you to the 20's. They have a live singer too. It was jam-packed and there was not a single table or even a spot to stand was available. But we got lucky within 10 minutes and got a spot on a small standing table. The cocktails are great I tried a couple and all were around $20. My favorite was Mercy Me. Whatever food we tried was also good. If you don't get a table then it might be a little troublesome, as me personally I don't like holding my drinks all evening long I need a spot (especially in an over crowded bar). My suggestion is to keep an eye on one of the standing tables and grab it quickly if someone is about to leave. That's what we did.Overall, we have loads of fun. It was a fun night. I would go there again for sure.

Balcon by Tapavino's obsession of all things Spanish takes it up a notch with our contemporary take on the rustic and refined dishes from Northern Spain. With over 4000 bottles on display, a 12 meter bar, and and outdoor dining area that's sure to attract
Balcon is a classy Tapas And Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Sydney. The menu was certainly well thought out and the food presentation was excellent. There is no value for money here and not much change for $100 + / headThere is nothing wrong with this restaurant but for me the food was say so and I wouldnât go back here based on the cost. There are better restaurants around with out spending so extravagantly

Bopp & Tone is a tribute to the Applejack founders' grandfathers. The venue reflects the nostalgic and optimistic post WW2 era they lived in. Embodying every day opulence and grandeur, it is lived-in luxury in style, with a welcoming and relaxed atmospher
This place is MAGIC!! I have bemoaned the fact that Sydney is fall of concreted walled and floored restaurants full of crappy modern music, overpriced, and absolutely full of pretentious, rude staff. This place echoes Melbourne's classy restaurant feel with a divine jazz mix band throughout the evening. When you first enter into the wooden panelled, lowly lit ambience early in the evening, the background music wraps you in a latin/50s and 60s blanket, it was just heaven. The combination of wood and carpet on the floor is a very clever ruse to combat loud conversations. Well designed indeed. The wonderful mediterranean menu is complemented with a wine list that finally has a selection of excellent rosés, all served with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thanks so much for the incredible review! We are so glad to hear that your recent visit was memorable & you enjoyed our decor so much! We have passed your wonderful comments along to the team and we very much look forward to seeing you back at Bopp & Tone again soon!

A celebration of Sherry, Wine, Food, & Friends Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia's first Sherry Bar, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in t

A stylish European restaurant and Wine Bar situated in the heart of the city.. Sydney Established 18 years with many regular diners Trading breakfast lunch and dinner with drinks, a long list of wines by the glass and classic cocktails
Solo dinner while in Sydney on business.Warm upmarket bistro feel. Classic decor.Service is very good.Menu is one of those where you could eat most meals. I tried the porchetta which was excellent - how they got the crackling so crispy yet light I donât know.Soufflé to start was delicious too - light yet powerful in flavour.Great wine list - enjoyed a half bottle of one of my favourite Pinots.Prices are not over the top and great value.Very unassuming venue for one of Sydneyâs top restaurants (in my opinion)
