One of Poland’s most beautiful cities, Gdansk, on the Baltic Sea, has played major roles in history, especially in the 20th-century. It was the 1939 flash point of World War II, and then in 1980, the birthplace of the Solidarnosc labor movement, ushering the end of Communist domination in Eastern Europe. Gdansk’s Old Town, painstakingly reconstructed to its Hanseatic League glory after being leveled in World War II, is a highlight. The 14th-century Town Hall houses the city’s historical museum.

What a find... a little off the main roads sits this hidden gem... We were two of very few tourists dining here tonight... it seems to be more of a local hot spot! Simply fabulous-Romantic setting, delicious food, high quality wine and relaxed service... the perfect combination on holiday-We were spoilt with appertifs on the house and accompaniments to start... a truly medium steak followed with seasonal vegetables, lentils and a mushroom sauce. We saved room for dessert, and enjoyed a molten chocolate fondant each too-The wine selection was plentiful-Two courses for two and a bottle came in at £90 in total- great food for a reasonable price. A super evening- would highly recommend.

In this restaurant we experienced the warmth and helpfulness of Polish people. The first visit, was just after our VW California car was stolen in front of this restaurant. The waiters and the manager looked after us in this stressful moment, and helped us with the communication with police and the hotel reservation. The day after we went back to 'enjoy' an exellent diner and to thank Bart & his team. We lost are brandnew VW California for ever, but we won some new friends for good.Dear Marc!Yes, we met in a very stressful moment and we are really sad about what happend with you car. We are impressed that even in such a difficult moment you found a way to enjoy our food. With best regards, Bartek & the team

We visited here for a late lunch and were really disappointed... our pizza was soggy... there was so much liquid pooled in the middle of the base... cheese was nowhere to be seen... and our olives and ham- floating. It did resemble a soup more than a pizza...For starters we had dough balls - which were delicious... served with butter and pesto-garlic... however this is where the success ended. Our drinks were also a little lack lustre... a half pint and a shot of wine.Take our advice- head off the tourist track... and save on disappointment! Thank you very much for your feedback. We are very sorry that you didn't like our Pizza. We know that Pizza Neapoletana is different and not reminiscent of classic Roman Pizza but it is just that, soggy.

Everything here is designed in a French like manner: cuisine, products, staff and atmosphere. Purely and 100% a la francaise! It is a little restaurant run by Dominique, who is a French chef serving only delicious and healthy dishes.
Lovely little cafe off the beaten track. Very friendly waitress who was able to advise on the menu according to dietary needs (gluten & dairy intolerant) and they were very accommodating. Good food, can only comment on the buckwheat pancakes & crepes as we just had a snack. Recommend.

Everything about this place is brilliant! Tucked away on a little street just off the green gate bridge ( behind Chinese restaurant) it is a gem of a place . Decor and ambience fab. Food is amazing and such well priced as is the wine list , plus bonus of violinist, cellist and harmonica player set the tone of the evening perfectly . A must visit if ever in GdaÅsk.
