This food tour was a nice combination of Greek history and Greek history of food. Lots of great shops! Enjoyed a nice variety of taste from breads/cookies, cheese with honey and spoon sweets, Herb shops, the central market, and our personal favorite which was the smoked meat!! The tour ended with a light lunch of Souvlakia sandwiches.. Our tour guide was just amazing, if you can request Sophie please do it you will be glad you did! We recommend you wear comfortable shoes and bring a backpack you’re sure to make plenty of purchases!

Beautiful boat spoiled by the grumpy captain who was extraordinarily rude to our lovely guide which we thought was unprofessional and unnecessary. We felt uncomfortable and it made the experience unpleasant to start with, although once on the boat it was fine.

3. Dionysus Wine Day In Kalamata With Lunch

Unnamed Road, Kalamata 241 00, Greece Messinia Sailing

Greeks and their mythological god Dionysus taught the world how to cultivate grapevines to make wine. As a result there is a longstanding wine tradition in Greece, but we still love to hear stories of wine for other parts of the world.  No other product is more associated with the nutritional habits of the Greeks, their religion, their traditions and their cultural heritage.
