In the middle of a 4-day, rain shower-flled trip to Kingston, the day of the helicopter tour was clear with unlimited visibility in the middle of the Autumn, leaf-turning season. This added a memorable element to what would have been an interesting tour of the Thousand Islands region. With coloured trees in all directions, the shades of green and blue water with an endless blue sky left us breathless. With a friendly, safety-conscious pilot, and charming hostess at the office, the day is etched forever in our minds. My poor old digital camera worked overtime as I felt that I just HAD to take dozens of extra photos to make sure I captured the setting. I should have known that Mother Nature had already taken care of that.
