Was really keen to visit this place as I had read about the gin and the bottles looked amazing. Although it was only 10 in the morning I decided to try a gin tasting (measures are quite small!). As suspect I loved the Sauvignon and also the Dry but the others are also very interesting. The lady taking the tasting was great & included a couple of discount cards for future purchases. Just check opening times as they weren’t open Mon at this time of year.

Farewell Spit stretches 34km long, making it one of the longest natural sandspits in the world. A wetland of international importance, it has been a bird sanctuary since the 1930’s and provides a home for over 90 bird species. Bar tailed godwits, knots, curlews, whimbrels and turnstones fly around 12,000 kilometres every northern hemisphere autumn to spend the summer here in the south. The spit also has a gannet colony.
