The Yale Historic Site encompasses several properties in the town of Yale. A heritage building built in the 1870’s, the ‘Creighton House’ is home to our museum, gift shop, archives and Beth Clare garden. Indoor exhibits include artifacts and photographs showcasing the diverse history of Yale. Outdoor exhibits include a ‘Tent City’, showing life during the gold rush of 1858 and St John the Divine, built in 1863, one of the oldest church's in BC. The Ward Tea House serves tea, coffee, cold beverages, hot lunches, sandwiches, soups and desserts and The Johnny Ward Guest House originally built as a family home in 1863 by William ‘Johnny’ H. Ward but now dating to 1880, is a Bed and Breakfast.
This museum is an absolute treasure. Lots of artifacts, exhibits and photos highlighting the glorious history of the town, colony, and province. The exhibit tents outside are great for kids to explore. The church is also very interesting. Stop here in for the strawberry social in June for a real special event.

We always enjoy Emory Creek Park. For the last 3 years, a university student and his father have been the main park attendants. They're both great. I really enjoy the son, Connor. He is extremely hard-working, pleasant, and has said on several occasions how much he enjoys his job. You can just see that he does. And he always keeps busy. Very personable too. Enjoy the well kept campground very much. Even love the trains there. They don't bother me during the night.
