Walnut Ridge is a town in Lawrence County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 4,925 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Lawrence County. Walnut Ridge lies immediately north of Hoxie, Arkansas. The two towns form a contiguous urban area with approximately 8,000 residents. Williams Baptist College is in College City, a formerly separate community that merged into Walnut Ridge in 2017.

Had on display some excellent WWII artifacts such as jeeps, rifles , uniforms, etc., some of which I have not seen before - even at the WWII Museum in New Orleans. Also had several Japanese weapons on display. The museum was much larger than what I had anticipated. The guide gave us a impressive brief on how the air field was used during the war.

Took some good pics and had a close walk to downtown eating places and churches and guitar walk ! Restaurants maybrys , Mainstreet pizza (serves alcohol) , dons steak house , Monis Grill, good home town cooking , nice clean area and safe to walk and see the sites train depot and all .
