I went there to see wildlife and I was not disappointed. I saw 2 huge bull moose and mama moose and her little one. Also saw too many mule deer to count, beavers, coyotes, hawks, woodpeckers, and tons of trout at Lake Agnes. The drive to Cameron Pass is gorgeous and the trails to Lake Agnes and along the Michigan Ditch is very scenic! Ranger Lake and Michigan Reservoir are spectacular!

Made 3 drives through the refuge in 3 days. Great viewing of moose (11 spotted, including a mom and baby.) Saw long-earred owl, deer, fox, rabbits, pronghorn, prairie falcon, pelicans.... had the place to ourselves. Don't miss driving up to Owl Ridge.... was able to spot moose easily from that vantage point.
We are a working ranch that offers horseback rides, cattle drives, ranch brandings, roundups, camping, cabin rentals, rv parking, with easy access to two gorgeous natural sand dunes and abundant wildlife.
