Unique to the island, La Mare is the perfect location to spend the day. The Vineyard Restaurant is currently open Wednesday - Sunday. Please find our opening hours at lamarewineestate.com
Following an informative tour around the premises we sat in a hall and, between short films about the working of the vineyard and orchards, tasted three types of wine and liqueur with chocolate. absolutely scrummy. the staff were incredibly friendly and very patient with some of a large group who were rude - talking over the film and snapping at the staff when offered tastings. we had a pleasant walk around the vines etc and had a lovely tapas like lunch in the restaurant. overall, a fantastic day out

The devils hole is well worth a visit. Very nice walk just 10 minutes to the scenery of the coast overlooking the other islands including France. On your way along the pathway looking to your right is the devil himself. After your walk, on the car park is the priory inn. Very comfortable serving coffee and tea and all the normal alcohol.

Glyn is a lovely man who took time to explain his art to us. I bought some beautiful beads which he put on a bracelet for me, I wish I had revisited to watch a demonstration and buy more especially the glass sweets!
