This goat cheese farm provides tours, gourmet meals and also operates as a bed-and-breakfast inn.
Quiet Countryside, charming intimate service for dinner, food that was unbelievable.
Cars arriving super early and leaving at night not super loud but disturbing a bit with it being so quiet.
Chicken pen in the front was quirky but smelled a bit and not a very attractive setup. New managers said that it was moving to the back for a new home soon.

We were very excited to visit the orchard based on what we saw on the website. We attended the "Fruity Pickin Storytime" for honey bee day. Paid a whopping $8 after a one hour drive from Durham to get there.
The positives:
* The orchard is nice, clean and orderly.
* The staff is very friendly and kind.
* The apple slushy is delicious.
* They gave us 4 honey lollipops which looked very nice but my 3.5 year old was not impressed.
The negatives:
* They told a story about honey bees then let the children taste honey...from a jar. We walked over to see a "beehive" but it was empty and did not have honey it in and definitely no bees in sight. So not an authentic experience. I can understand maybe the concern with bees and children but if you advertise honey bees, the expectation is to see them in some form (maybe behind a glass, etc). All of the moms complained about not seeing any beehives.
* They took us on an uncovered hay ride in the middle of a hot day. We rode by the different fruit trees. No one announced what was what. Everyone just guessed what was what. The host was sitting at the front talking to someone the entire time.
* When we returned we received a very tiny cup of apple slushy (which I have to admit was very good) but after such a hot ride, would have been nice to get more.
* On the website it says it involves "hands on farm activity" but definitely didn't do any of that.
And that was it. Literally. That was my $8.
Never again. Very disappointed as this location has a lot of potential.

My wife and I recently visited the Seagrove area for the fourth time and this time we also went to the 36th Annual Seagrove Pottery Festival. We missed it on our other visits.
A large tent was set up on the school grounds that housed a number of area potters and also the school's gymnasium where The Dirt Dauber Pottery was located. The potter Darlene Brady had many beautiful pieces of pottery on display for sale and my wife found a real nice piece for the Holidays for our house.
When you are in the Seagrove area and visiting potteries, look up the Dirt Dauber. They have some real nice hand made pottery that you will truly enjoy.

The first time we visited this place we were on our way to a day of antiquing in Asheboro. We saw the sign and turned around (it looks like it might be in an old grocery store or KMart). They were only about half full but I could tell it was going to turn into a good place. They also hold auctions in the back on certain days. They are now full of everything from A to Z. Great selections.
The people working there are so nice and friendly. The aisles are clear and the booths aren't cluttered which makes it easy to get around and see everything. It does not have a confusing maze-like layout that can be frustrating.
The last 2 times I've been there I wanted to come home with a "rocking boar/pig" but I'm hoping the price will eventually come down some. As a pig collector I want it sitting in front of one of our fireplaces.
I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Ate there a lot until they changed the salsa ingredients. Tastes more like a mild commercial bbq sauce. San Felipe customer now.
