Heritage Village Museum

Heritage Village Museum is a living history museum depicting life in Southwestern Ohio throughout the 19th Century. Homes, out-buildings and equipment on the museum grounds were moved here from other locations in the region to be preserved and aid in telling the story of our recent past. Interpreters at the museum provide the facts and stories that bring the Village to life with nostalgic glances of days gone by. Visit the museum for guided tours, or see our website or Facebook page for information about special events, summer camps, school and scout field trips. Tour prices and village hours vary--check our website or call before you come.

Trammel Fossil Park

Trammel Fossil Park is a little out of the way, but worth a visit for fossil buffs. There are excellent signs explaining the rock strata and the types of fossils that can be found in each layer. I would highly recommend wearing boots with a hard sole.

Sharon Woods

Reviewed By Trip597356 - West Chester, United States

With the COVID-19 virus raging, what's a family with rambunctious kids to do? Get thee to a park! We had lunch today at Sharon Woods, just to get outside and have some fresh air. I have been coming to this park for over 40 years and it always delivers. Whether it's "Holiday in Lights" displays at Christmas, to a quiet trail by the waterfall at lunchtime, to a fun corporate event at an outdoor pavilion, to a walk back in time in their Pioneer Villiage, to a day on the lake, or jogging around it, there's just so many things to do. Great visitors center with a children's play area, educational exhibits, and gift shop with Charley Harper items. If you live in the area and you haven't taken advantage of this small gem of a park, what are you waiting for?
