Restaurants in San Miguel

In the MetroCentro, you can find almost anything you need...restaurants, movies, furniture stores, ice cream shops, surf gear...you name it. The stores services are all excellent. Parking is a little crowded but you can manage it with some patience on your part. Security is excellent as well. Plus there is lots of activity all around the mall. I visit the eastern side of El Salvador ~ 3 times per year and always go to the MetroCenter in San Miguel as part of the visit. Oh, did I mention the beautiful Volcan Chaparrastique right next door!

We visited on a Saturday morning, we had a local friend as a guide, which we'd recommend. The streets area very crowded with people and buses. Wall to wall shops. Enjoyed the experience. We did NOT go into the central market area. Our deemed it NOT SAFE for Tourists.

The oldest theater in San Miguel and now one of the most interesting places to visit any time of the year. There are arts Exhibitions, musical Concerts, dramas and several Performances through the whole year Most of them free. Local authorities bring once a year the National Ballet Folclórico in order to celebrate november festivities. It´s a nice place to visit too.

I am sorry its surrounding of this place is very nice, they have nice deep pools. But there are no rules. I was on vacation with my kids and this young couple were literally making out( don't want to express the actual term) inside the pool, right in front of my kids. Its was nasty and I didn't need my kids to see a porn show there. Nobody is around, there are no life guards the food not good and expensive. The only good thing is your allowed to bring your own food and eat. That's what we did. They rent these little huts with two hammocks for the whole day. Its ok and to be honest I don't think its very safe to go right now. The water temperature way to hot, I mean way to hot.
