Nestled in the rolling hills of Georgias upper piedmont, this is one of northern Georgias best kept secrets. A beautiful stream flows through the park, providing the perfect setting for an after-picnic stroll. Hikers can follow either the short nature trail or the longer perimeter trail that winds through hardwoods and crosses creeks.
My best friend who has never been clamping before, loved camping at Victoria Bryant. We platform camp and it was a good thing we did. The rain came in Friday night and didn't let up until the next evening. We chose Platform #7. It kept us dry through the torrential rain. The front desk was staffed with the friendliest, knowledgeable people. The campground host were very helpful and kept everything running smoothly.

Welcome to The Sandbar: Bowman, Georgia and the Broad River's finest recreation hot spot! The Sandbar is your ticket to the beautiful and exciting Broad River and all of the outdoor adventures that it holds. We offer affordable and fun kayaking trips all summer long and, beginning fall 2014, exhilarating zip-line expeditions year-round!!! The Sandbar is a family owned and operated business with the goal to share the fun and experience of Broad River with the public. We love our customers just as much as we love this river (which includes keeping it safe and clean with our recycling and clean up initiatives! No glass on the river please!) Dogs are welcome! We provide hot showers and ice for customers (limited supply!) and $1 coolers for rent on your kayak adventure. Kayaking is $20 on weekdays and $25 weekends and holidays. We also provide free parking and group discounts! Our last put in is at 3:00 daily. Cabin Rentals are also available for only $80 a night; please call for reservations! Tent camping is for kayakers only and is only $10 per tent/night. Camp in the middle of the river on the sandbar or along one of the trails! (No camping Sunday nights).
This day trip was some of the most fun we have ever had with our kids. Natalie & Nathan are experienced and have a high standard for safety. Ziplines are not for the faint of heart & I'm not a fan of heights, but they...MoreWe had an awesome time with y'all! It was great getting to know you and your family. Look forward to seeing you this spring

I enjoyed our trip here. There was no one else there, which was kind of sad. I learned a lot about Ty Cobb I didn't know and there is great memorabilia if you're a baseball fan. I think it's about $5 per person to get in, but if you look around you can usually find discounts for free.

Price, 20$ each was a good price. The kayaks were good but some of the straps for cooler holders were broken and should of been bungees to accommodate different sizes. The seat back on a couple of the yaks in my group were also broken.
The river was down a little so make sure to check or just go after a couple days of good rain. The river being down means more paddling and getting stuck on more sandbars. This of course was not BRO fault just some advice.
My chief complaint was the exit point. You put in at the BRO so there is no bus ride to put in. You immediately get in the water. sounds great but, at the end there was a group of 60 plus our group of 14 all trying to get back. They had 2 short buses with kayak trailers shuttling people. This took us over an hour to get back. Plus they had no one help at the take out point to help the driver load the kayaks on the trailer. So we could either stand their and watch the guy do it buy himself and take even longer or the BRO got free labor. Which is what happened. I helped load for 2 groups then got frustrated and watched other people take over.
As much money as the BRO was making that Saturday it would have been very easy for them to send one employee down to do nothing but help load kayaks all day.

Slow water is a fun experience especially for people new to kayaks. The river is generally calm, requires little paddling and is rural so you are not bothered by houses, homeowners or barking dogs. Got to see fish, turtles and birds and had a relaxing day on the river. Its very reasonably priced.
