Road trip north to Spirit and needed a pit stop. Ross well worth the detour and in fact deserves a couple of days for a slow exploration, walk and savour. Amazing and rich history. Marvellous architecture. For example on southern end of town is an old church (now stewarded by Uniting Church). Beautiful, peaceful and moving - to quiet prayer after hard 2020. A lovely town to curiously wander and enjoy.

What a delight. As someone that once had a wool shop this was a gem. Beautiful range of quality items, well worth the prices. Could of browsed for hours and spent a fortune. Lots of choice and friendly staff willing to assist. Mens, womens and children items well catered for. Don't miss it.

Not a lot is left of the original buildings but a real treat is the early cemetery . A few blocks away from the Women's Factory but on the same hill. Unfortunately the Women's burial ground is lost in time as they and their many children were buried in unmarked graves.
