Azura Cellars and Gallery

Reviewed By intlwanderlust - Europe

The location is the real draw here. The owners have done a fab job in creating a high-end destination where oenophiles can sip and enjoy the surrounding views. I feel at $10/glass, it's a bit steep, but the tastings are complimentary which probably helps them justify the price.
I enjoyed the reds we tasted. I was not a fan of the one white.

Stone Cottage Cellars

Stone Cottage Cellars is a family business and an ongoing labor of love. Our adventure started in 1994, when we left the corporate world to begin a new and sustainable chapter in our lives that would allow us to raise our family in a rural community, connected to the land. This mission led us to the North Fork Valley, and a passion for fine wines led us to purchasing one of the highest elevation vineyards anywhere in the world. Being “connected” is something we sought out, but little did we know what that would actually involve, and how hands-on our new life would be. Over the years, we built Stone Cottage Cellars from the ground up, stone by stone, from the Stone Cottage, to the wine cellar, to the tasting room. Currently, we are building a larger home to house our growing family, with plans to add more winery space and another wine cellar at some point in the future. Our vision will never be complete, but our lives are more fulfilled.

We went to a wine pairing dinner and couldn't have been more delighted. Both the food and wine were delicious. Eating in the beautiful scenery added to the ambiance. The family entertained us by singing a Capella and were awesome. We felt so welcomed and...MoreThanks Frada! Hope you are doing well.

Revolution Brewing

Reviewed By Ashley T - Paonia, Colorado, United States

Revolution Brewery tasting room is located in what used to be a cute little church on Grand Avenue in the town of Paonia, CO. It is a gathering place extraordinaire where folks from all walks of life belly up and enjoy a pint of award winning micro brew. My personal favorite is the IPA but the stout, red, gold or whatever they on tap at the moment, is sure to be delicious. For the kiddos, Revo makes probably the best root beer that Ive ever had and if you are in the mood for something to eat they have food too. They normally offer baskets of salted peanuts in the shell, empanada and awesome brats made from locally raised black Welsh mountain sheep. On Wednesdays our local taco food truck parks out back and hungry beer drinkers can enjoy tacos that offer something for everyone with selections from chicken to curried lamb. Live music, open mike night and a great place place to make a new friend or meet up with an old one make Revo a very worth while visit when visiting Paonia.

Black Bridge Winery

Black Bridge Wines originate in our high-altitude Orchard Valley Farms vineyards, where Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Riesling grapes thrive. Our name is inspired by the nearby historic bridge that spans the North Fork of the Gunnison River that waters our farm & vineyard.

We were guided to Black Bridge Winery and Orchard Valley Farms by a relative who lives in the area. Our purpose was to buy apples for baking apple pies. We were very surprised this was also a winery and picnic spot. We sampled various wines and bought some to take home, along with a selection of apples.

Orchard Valley Farms & Market

We raise peaches, sweet cherries, apples, berries, wine grapes, and have a vegetable garden and pumpkin patch. A farm market is on site with our fresh fruit and produce along with other local products and a tasting room that is home to Black Bridge Winery. Customers can shop the market, taste our wines, u-pick fruits and vegetables, hike the farm trail, and picnic by the river. It's the Jewel of The North Fork!

Great place to pick up local jams, jellies, honey and wines. Also they serve an outstanding lunch menu.
