Sandphifer Gallery features driftwood sculptures, fiber art and whimsical drawings by the owner and her husband, who also operate the gallery. Hand dyed scarves and jewelry are part of the selection as well as gifts created by the owner.
I had a great visit today with the owners of this gallery. The wood sculptures are beautiful - taking drift wood and other locally sourced woods and creating abstract imagery of whales and fishes. There is also a great selection of animal drawings/paintings and approachable jewelry. With Covid, their hours have changed. I found that when I called ahead, they simply came and opened the gallery for my visit. Much appreciated.

We have camped here many times. The direct access to the beach, no long walks over the dunes here, is unparalleled in other state parks. They now have free WiFi, a bonus as some wireless carriers may not work well here. While they don't have full hook up. This local isn't for those who are looking for big city ammenities. It is a small coastal town.you will have to drive to find a shopping store. But this small town vibe is why we like PB. The sunsets are phenomenal.
