Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery

We drove up to the Roerich Art Gallery from Kullu and walked through the lovely bungalow of the late Russian painter. The lighting on the paintings could be better; reflections were detracting from the master of mountainscapes' frames. There are entry tickets, but a guide would have been helpful

easy ten minute walk from the hotel, good carving. Courtyard in the front of the temple has many places to sit and leave your shoes. I enjoyed the main gate

Krishna Temple

Reviewed By Mrugank S

Nothing much is written about this temple which I could find before planning my journey to Naggar. On a change interaction with a local person, I came to know about this Krishna Temple. It is accessible by road as well as a small trek. The trek will take about 30 mins, and few parts are a little difficult. While it is also accessible by road, very few taxies/autos would volunteer to come. The trek is a slight detour while walking from Naggar Castle to Roerich Art Gallery. Keep passing through thick forest with the company for playful monkeys trying to get their hands on apple plantation along with way. Once at the top, the Temple is very small and humble, but well built. The view from top is the best and makes the effort of reaching there totally worth ! The priest of the temple is nice man who would volunteer to explain the nuances of the small temple. There were a couple of women singing Krishna bhajans, and it was a very soothing experience. Once out of the sanctum sanctorum, you can spend couple of hours just sitting there and observing the view from the top. Having filled your lungs with fresh air, you can commence your descend and would reach the base in about 20 minutes. Must visit.
