The most amazing temple in the town of Moodbidri is also one of the most amazing Jaina temple anywhere.The temple houses the tallest monolithic manstambha of any Jaina temple and is a treasure trove of art and architecture.The most striking feature of the temple is the simple yet elegant manner in which the temple has been built.The idol in the sanctum Santorum appears mystical and mesmerizing.The architecture of the temple with its sloping roofs is a departure from the usual Jain temples located in the cities.How amazing it is to take a note of the wonderful pillars and image those hands that have touched them centuries ago... It is sad however to note that parts of temple compound is not well maintained and the authorities must take notice of it.Also all the others Jain temple here are not at all well maintained with mosses now taking over the them and no one to take care of them...
