Mbuluzi Game Reserve is a privately owned game reserve operating as a share block development. The reserve offers visitor accommodation in a number of varying luxury family lodges, situated on the banks of the Mlawula River as well as in a quiet secluded campsite along the Mbuluzi River.
We spent 3 nights in Liphiva. A lovely well equipped cottage on the bank of a little river. It has a nice deck outside to sit on and watch the river and a braai below. A small shared pool with one other cottage, with a couple of sun loungers. I preferred Mbuluzi to Hlane down the road. It has a much nicer, better managed feel. We didn't like the multitude of fences sectioning up Hlane.

The Sugarcane Museum shows how Swaziland sugarcane is produced, milled and sold. The new museum blends wall panels, touchscreen computers, showing short video clips and vintage machinery, to inform and entertain visitors. There is a centuries old steam engine and a cane press to make fresh cane juice as well as a small shop and cafe in beautiful gardens.

Hlane is a wonderful park with plenty to see. We were staying for two days in Bhubesi camp and saw plenty of animals both self driving and on a game drive. The highlight was the rhinos which came within metres of our car but on the game drive we also saw lions close up as well as elephants playing in the waterhole. Aside from the big animals there are also tortoises, monitor lizards, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles and a wealth of other discoveries. To top it all off the staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Well worth staying a couple of days to enjoy.
